A race with charm
The Holmestrand Marathon has been a regular feature in the race calendar since 2013. The race is held every year on Saturday following Easter, and offers a beautiful course along the Holmestrand fjord and charming city center streets. The race appeals to both beginners and the more experienced with distances from 5K up to Marathon. The course is a fast and fun 5K circular course - also perfect for those who want to cheer!
You want more?
The ultimate challenge – run a marathon and finish off with another 10K! Start the marathon at 10:00 and the 10K at 15:00. You will be taken out of the race if you miss the next start.
Start with the Half marathon as a warm up, then another 5K as a sweet dessert! Start the half marathon at 10:00 and the 5K at 14:00.

Start timeline
Race number
During race week, your race number can be picked up from Intersport Holmestrand, and on raceday in tent outside the store, at following times:
You will recieve an SMS before the race with pick-up times and your race number. The recieved SMS must be shown, this also applies when you collect from others.
Pick up your race number on Thursday or Friday to avoid queues and stress. On race day, plenty of time must be calculated to be sure to reach the start
T-skjorte
T-shirts are pre-ordered at registration and can only be picked up at the same time as you pick up your start number.
Aid stations
There are three aid stations along the 5 km loop course. Water and energydrink will be available.
Marathon runners will also have access to cola, oranges, chocolate, and salted crackers.
Awards
Everyone gets a finisher medal at the finish line.
Cash Prizes awarded to the top three male and female finishers across all distances. The winners of the Ultra (Marathon + 10K) and Mini Ultra (Half Marathon + 5K) will receive prizes from Intersport.
Children's Run
Meetin point is in the roadway between Langgaten 20 (LilleHolmestrand) and Langgaten 19 (Charli). The race starts at 13:00, and before that there will be a joint warm-up with well‑known mascots. All participants with a race number will receive a medal when they finish at Holmestrand Bibliotek.
Before, during, and after the children’s race, we kindly ask spectators to stay on the sidewalk, as marathon runners will be passing through the course – please follow the signage.

Parkering
We recommend parking at Holmestrand Station commuter parking. It is 800 meters to walk from here to the start and race number pick-up. Free weekend parking.

Luggage
At Holmestrand Library there is storage for valuables and clothes. 100 meters to the start / race number pick-up.
Aldersgrenser
Holmestrand Marathon follows Kondis and the Norwegian Athletics Federation's age limits:

Age limit is calculated as of December 31 of the competition year.All participation by runners under the age of 18 is the responsibility of the parents/guardians and everyone must have at least one personal guard with them.
*) Participants aged 7–10 who run the 5 km timed race will not be ranked on the results list.
Cut-off times
Below you will find cut-off times for the various distances:

If you tend to spend a longer time on the way, you will be taken out of the race.
